摘要

Abstract

The cladding metal and transition region of 405/Q245R stainless steel composite plate are welded by tungsten inert gas arc welding (TIG) with ER309L welding wire and by shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) with A302 electrode respectively, and the base layer is welded by SMAW with E4315 electrode. Results of mechanical properties test show that the tensile strength of welded joints is similar with the strength of base metal,and all the tensile samples broke at the position of base material. Metallograph observation of welded joint illustrates that the microtructure of weld metal is composed of austenite and a little ferrite, and the migration of carbon element is not obvious at the interface of transition region and base metal during welding. Furthermore, the result of XRD analysis of transition region indicates that there is no deteriorative phases precipitation in the weldment, which is announced that the mechanical properties of welded joint is better and the welding technology is feasible, thus these two kinds of welded joint meet the practical requirements of engineering structure.
