摘要

Abstract

Double plasma surface alloying of element Nb and C in TiAl based alloys and the oxidation behavior were investigated. The surface compositions and microstructures of the TiAl alloy before and after niobizing and carburi-zing and high temperature oxidation were contrasted and investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) , and X-ray diffraction (XRD) methods. The experimental results indicate that the addition of Nb and C can enhance the activity, promote the growth of A12O3. The high temperature oxidation resistance of the treated TiAl alloy has marked improvement.
