Removal of fine particles by heterogeneous condensation from wet-process desulfurized flue gas

Abstract
The removal of fine particles from wet limestone/gypsum processes desulfurized flue gas was investigated in a gradient opposing jet heterogeneous condensational growth chamber. The influence of the operating parameters, such as relative humidity of flue gas, steam adding position and amount, horizontal gap of opposing jet of flue gas, spraying coalescence, on fine particles removal efficiency was studied and analyzed, and compared the results with those of ordinary horizontal type heterogeneous condensational growth chamber. The results show that fine particles can be removed effectively, and the gradient opposing jet heterogeneous condensational growth chamber has better performance in removal particles than ordinary horizontal type heterogeneous condensational growth chamber. If the addition amount of steam is 0. 04 kg ? M-3, number concentration removal efficiency increases from 35% to 65%. Increase of relative humidity in inlet flue gas brings higher removal efficiency. An increase in horizontal gap between the opposing jets leads to an increased collect efficiency firstly, then decreased. The removal efficiency goes up firstly and then keeps stable with the increase of steam amount. The optimum position adding steam is at upstream of impinging zone. The increase of removal efficiency is limited by spraying aggregation.关键词
