摘要

Abstract

Aptamers are nucleic acid sequences that can bind to a wide variety of targets from small molecules to whole cells with high affinity and specificity. They can be obtained in vitro through systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment (SELEX) procedure. Aptamers present an alternative to antibodies as recognition agents in diagnostic and detection assays. Aptamer-based biosensors (aptasensors) are analysis devices, which combine biological recognition components with signal conversion element to detect targets. Providing real time, high sensitive and specific tests, aptasensor technology is one of the fast growing areas in microbial rapid detection. Advances in aptamers, SELEX procedures, aptasensors and their applications in detection of microorganism are reviewed.
