Effect of different agricultural waste nutrition sources on growth of watermelon seedlings

Abstract
The present study was conducted to explore the new method of watermelon cultivation using high-value agricultural wastes as nutrient source in order to recycle the agricultural resources. [ Method Jseveral agricultural wastes were mixed in different ratios and used for seedling nutrition, peat nutrition was used as control. The agronomic traits of watermelon cultivated with these nutrition sources were investigated. The subordinate function values were used to find out the effects of different agricultural waste nutrition source on seedling growth of watermelon. [ Result ]The treatment of 7:3 ratio of reed residue Seattle manure showed highest seedling biomass and total biomass followed by CK. The comprehensive quality of seedlings were the best in this treatment and its average subordinate function values was 0.724. [Conclusion] Reed residue:cattle manure in ratio of 7'3 was found good as a source of nutrient for culturing watermelon seedlings, and it may be recommended for large-scale production of watermelon seedling.关键词
