Abstract
Objective To investigate the significance of micturating cystourethrography (MCU) screening in children with vesicoureteric reflux(VUR). Methods According to the International Reflux Study Committees classification for radio-graphic grades of reflux, 40 cases with urinary tract infections were examined by micturating cystourethrography after being diagnosed as having renal lesion by DMSA renal cortical scintigraph. Results There were 16 cases of primary vesicoureteric reflux among the 40 cases, and the rate of vesicoureteric reflux was 40.0%. Of the 16 cases, 9 cases were bilateral, 7 cases were unilateral; 8 cases were males, 8 cases were females; 13 cases were aged < 1 . There were 25 renal units with VUR, 2 grade Ⅱ (8.0% ), 5 grade I (20.0% ), 12 grade Ⅳ (48.0% ) , 6 grade Ⅴ (24.0% ). Conclusion To standardize MCU in children with urinary tract infection, an objective basis for diagnosis and treatment of primary VUR should be established.关键词
