MicroRNA: Functions in Skeletal Muscle Development and Nutritional Regulations on Its Expression
摘要
Abstract
MicroRNAs (miRNAs)are a class of small non-coding RNA that act as regulators of gene expression in eucaryota. They negatively regulate gene expression by translational suppression and target mRNA degradation, and are closely related to skeletal muscle development and muscular diseases. Nutrition can regulate expression of miRNA and its target genes, which may bring a new research direction for mechanisms of nutrients. This paper mainly reviews research advances in structure and mechanism of miRNA, skeletal muscle miRNA expression profiling in different kinds of animals, miRNA regulation of skeletal muscle development, relationship between miRNA and skeletal diseases, as well as nutritional regulation of miRNA expression.关键词
