Abstract
Objective:To discuss the esthetic outcomes of immediate implant placements in anterior jaw region. Methods: 28 single-tooth implants (twenty-two patients) were included in the study. These implants placed immediately while ten fractured teeth and eighteen residual roots in the anterior region were extracted without flap reflection. 24 nonsubmergible implants were placed in the maxilla and 4 submergible implants were placed in the mandible. Final prostheses were restored after 3 to 4 months. The follow-up time was from 12 to 30 months (mean: 18 months). The marginal tissue recessions were analyzed according to Miller's classifications. The interproximal papillae were analyzed according to Jemt's classification. The stabilities of the implants were analyzed according to Albrektson's criteria of success. Results: The cumulative implant survival rates were 100% in these observation periods. No marginal tissue recessions were found in 18 implant sites. The marginal tissue recession index score at 1-level were found in 8 implant sites, the tissue recession index score of 2-level were in 2 implant sites. The mesial and distal papilla index score of 3-level were observed in 20 implant sites, the papilla index score of 2 in 8 implant sites. Conclusions: Immediate implant placement and delayed loading is a skilled technique. Strictly control of indications seem to be the key factor.关键词
