Abstract
Objective:To evaluate and summarize the clinical effects using rigid internal fixation treating maxillofacial fractures. Methods: 85 cases were retrospectively reviewed including facial symmetry, occlusal relation, width of mouth opening, and fracture healing. Results: 1 case was complicated with infection and cured through dressing exchanges. A molar comminuted fracture case showed malocclusion. Osteointegration and recovery of function in all cases were found uneventful. Conclusions: Rigid internal fixation is an ideal method to treat maxillofacial fractures because of its better stability and reliable clinical outcomes.关键词
