Modified Algorithm of Vector Median Filtering with Strong Salt and Pepper Noise of Color Image
摘要
Abstract
Removing noise for a color image is always an important part of image preprocessing. The traditional vector median filtering is an effective method of removing salt and pepper noise of color image, but the method of traditional vector median filtering applies only to the weak salt and pepper noise , not to the strong. Many modified methods of the vector median filtering were proposed, but the results are not good for the images with strong salt and pepper noise. In this paper, the modified adaptive algorithm is proposed on the basis of the traditional vector median filtering. This algorithm can efficiently remove strong salt and pepper noise, won't produce new colors, and remain image edge and details very welL Experimental results demonstrate that the method has a good processing effect for 10 to 80 percent salt and pepper noise image关键词
