Abstract
An unstructured grid based 3-D hydrodynamic model is briefly described herein; of which the concept of the finite volume method is adopted for establishing a 3-D hydrodynamic governing equation under the consideration of vertical velocity of flow. Furthermore, the algorithm of flux difference splitting is introduced to solve the equation. Finally, a 3-D hydrodynamic model for the river-section of Kawakami River in Japan, that contains two piers, is established based on this model. Through the simulating calculation concerned, the flow patterns around both the piers are analyzed. The result shows that the flow patterns around piers under complicated conditions can surely be revealed by this model.关键词
