A new method to research the reaction mechanism and the apparent activation energy of the decomposition reaction of calcium carbonate
摘要
Abstract
The thermal decomposition process of calcium carbonate at different heating rates was investigated under pure N2 atmosphere with the thermal analysis techniques. The apparent activation energy has been derived into the rate activation energy ( Er )and the mode function activation energy (Ef(a) ) , based on the differential method. The intrinsic activation energy is determined according to the relation between the Er and the conversion ( a ), and the reaction mechanism is obtained by the Malek method. It is shown that the reaction mechanism is contracting cylinder. The apparent activation energy is equal to the intrinsic activation energy at 0. 1≤a≤0.5 . However, the apparent activation energy is a function of the conversion at 0. 5 ≤ a < 1 .关键词
