摘要

Abstract

Through establishment of the environmental management system for the construction area, reservoir area, and resettlement area of the Xiaolangdi Multipurpose Dam Project, some measures were taken, including monitoring induced earthquakes; introducing environmental supervision mechanisms; strengthening site supervision; measures to reduce water, atmosphere, and noise pollution; disposing of solid waste; and developing systematic soil and water conservation measures and public health security. These measures prevent and control the adverse effects of the Xiaolangdi project construction on the ecological environment, improve the ecology in the construction area and surrounding area, control the possible environmental impacts in the resettlement area, and help the environmental management initiatives to obtain a good effect.
