Formula Screening of Nursing Media with Agricultural Wastes for Tomato Plug Seedlings

Abstract
In the experiment, two kinds of local agricultural wastes, com stalks and mushroom residues with cotton seed husk, were used as nursing media for tomato plug seedlings by mixing them with peat and ver-miculite at different volume ratios. The physical and chemical properties of the media and their effects on growth and physiological indices of tomato seedlings were investigated. The results showed that three kinds of media, mushroom residues: peat: vermiculite = 1: 1: 1, washed corn stalks: mushroom residues: vennic-ulite=l= 1: 1, and washed com stalks: peat: vermiculite = 1: 1: 1, were better for tomato plug seedlings with more biomass, better vigorous seedling index, higher chlorophyll content and root activity compared to the check of peat: vermiculite = 2-:1.关键词
