Abstract
FEM is used to analyse a crack at welding point on the crank type flying shear gear box in a bar rolling mill. The whole assembly model of a crank type flying shear gear box is built. The value and direction of force locating at every bearing hole are caculated. The calculated force is brought on the surface of each bearing bore of the model according to the sinelaw. At the same time, the contact elements are set in the actual contact section and the pretension force of bolts is considered while caculates mechanical stress of gear box. The results show that the overall static strength of the gear box meets the requirements, and any crack caused by the fatigue of the gear box will not occur while flying shear gear box works regularly. The reason of the gear box crack will be ensured by the further analysis of dynamic characteristics of the gear box.关键词
