摘要

Abstract

SiO2 coated aluminum flake particles were prepared in pH buffer solutions using Na2SiO3·9H2O and aluminum flake powder as raw materials. The effect of pH of solution, temperature and amount of SiO2 coating on surface morphology of the coated particles were investigated. Field emission scanning electron microscope was used to characterize the surface morphology and the SiO, content of the coated particles. The results showed that the pH and temperature had a dominant effect on the surface morphology of the coated particles. The smooth and compact coating of SiO2 on the aluminum flake particles was obtained when the reactive condition was that the temperature was 85 t,and pHwas 9.5.
