Abstract
There are a lot of discussions on manage-ment in the Chinese classic Hanfeizi, and among them, the qualities that successful leaders should possess are mentioned many times. They should be prudent and knowledgeable, promise-keeping, decisive and stable, self-controlled, keep-ing a peaceful heart, selfless, open-minded, and good at searching the talents and could appoint them. Rewards and punishments should be executed according to the law. They are also perceptive, and can notice and solve the problems in time. Leaders should help to build a healthy atmosphere for the organization, but also keep their hobbies unexposed. They are against superstition, foresighted, diligent and thrifty, and is a wise economic person at the same time. They provide good guidance to the mass by being a good ex-ample. For the managers and leaders today, it's beneficial for them if they could appreciate the essence of the thoughts.关键词
