摘要

Abstract

Pyrolysis gas selective hydrogenation technique can be used in conversing highly unsaturated hydrocarbons to mono-olefin in ethylene plants, which has several advantages, namely low energy consumption in the separation, high ethylene yield and reduction of the fouling in the downstream equipments. The technique has been developed by the main worldwide suppliers for the ethylene production technique, including SINOPEC, IFP, ABB Lummus, Sum-Chemie, Catalytic Distillation Technologies, CRI, Exxon, Linde, Eastman and Phillips with different patents. This paper describes the processes, their character and recent progress. The trend of development and the prospect of the application for this technique have also been anticipated.
