Design and Testing of a 160 mW High-power Solid-state Modulator
摘要
Abstract
The high-power solid-state modulator adopted the high-power IGBT modules as switch is designed to improve reliability of the pulse modulators. The modulator with adder topology can generate 80 kV, 2 kA and 160 mW pulse power. The circuit topology and the system parameters of the high-power modulator are introduced in details as well as the module circuit of the high-power modulator. The IGBT drive is introduced and the output waveforms of the modules are provided. The load arcing of the modules is simulated, and the results of the experiment is presented, which proves that the protection is feasible. The system structure of the modulator is introduced, and the key factors, which affect the output performance of the modulator, are analyzed. The experiment result* of the modulator are given. The simulation of load over current validates the reliability of the overcurrent protection of the modulator. The experiment results show that the modulator meet the design requirements.关键词
