Abstract
Objective:To explore the role of para-aortic lymphadenectomy In the Surgical pathological Staging and prognosis of endometrial carcinoma. Methods:68 cases of endometrial carcinoma accepted systematic pelvic and para-aortic lymphadenectomy in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from Jan 2005 to Jul 2010 were analyzed retrospectively. Results:15(22.1%) of 68 patients had lymph node metastases, 12 patients (17.6%) had pelvic lymph nodes metastases, 7 patients (0.3) had paraor-tic lymph nodes metastases, 4 patients!5. 9%)had both pelvic and para-aortic lymph nodes metastases, 3 patients(4. 4% )only had para-aortic metastases. The inconsistance between clinical and Surgical pathological Staging was 22.1%. Patients were followed up for 6-57 months (mean 26 months), one patient relapsed and one died of disease. Conclusions:The systematic pelvic and para-aortic lymphadenectomy is not only essential for an accurate surgical pathologic staging and a guidance for postoperative adjuvant therapy, but also can offer relevant prognostic information.关键词
