摘要

Abstract

This paper describes the apparatus used for the preparation of semi-solid slurry by gas-bubbling method combined with mechanical vibration. The microstructures in several different cast states were analyzed. The comparison of the equivalent diameter and mean roundness of the grains shows that using gas-bubbling method combined with mechanical vibration, the mean roundness of the grains can get a significant improvement and the equivalent diameter is further reduced. Finally, the mechanism of gas-bubbling method combined with mechanical vibration was discussed.
