Abstract
BACKGROUND: Bone marrow mesenchymalstem cells (BMSCs) can repair cartilage defects after induction in vitro.However.Most of the cells come from autos or allograft currentlyOBJECTIVE; To observe the effects of the chondrometaplasia of homologous and heterogeneous BMSCs on repairing the laryngeal cartilage defects.METHODS: The third generation of human embryonic BMSCs and rabbit BMSCs were invoked. The two kinds of ceels grew on poly lactic acid-glycolic acid scaffold, and were inducted to cartilage cells after a d ding transforming growth fa ctor β 1 and cartiage morphogenetic proteins into the scaffold. The two kinds of ceII systems were implanted in Hew Zealand rabbits. The defects wereRESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The human embryonic BMSCs and rabbit BMSCs were filled with regenerated tissues at 4 and S weeks after implantation. Histological observation showed that most cells in the tissues were cartilage cells which could secretethere was no immunological rejection between them. Results revealed that the chondrometaplasia of the heterogeneous BMSCs induced by transforming growth factor β1 and cartilage morphogenetic proteins is similar to the homologous BMSCs for rep air of the laryngeal cartilage defects.关键词
