Review of the current progress on the anti-tumor constituents of Fructus schisandrae chinensis and the underlying mechanisms

Abstract
Fructus schisandrae chinensis is a commonly used Chinese herbal medicine. In recent years, the potential anti-tumor effect of this plant has been increasingly appreciated. It has demonstrated that the major components responsible for the anti-tumor effect of Fnictus schisandrae chinensis are polysaccharide and lignans. The underlying anti-tumor mechanisms of Fnictus schisandrae chinensis invdved apoptotic induction the improvement of immunomodulatory effect, anti-oxidation free radicalsscavenge, anti-mutations and multidrug resistance reversal. This paper reviews the current progress on the anti-tumor components and the underlying mechanisms of Fnictus schisandrae chinensis, the purpose of which is to deepen the relevant study of Fnictus schisandrae chinensis and facilitate its clinical use.关键词
