Abstract
BACKGROUND: Characteristics of implantation fixation for treatment of intertrochanteric fracture patients is still unclear.OBJECTIVE: To analysis the characteristics of implantation fixation combined with comprehensive therapy for treatment ofintertrochanteric fractures of elderly patients with osteoporosis.METHODS: Retrospective analysis of 328 elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture and osteoporotic was performed tocollect the cause of the injuries, combined fractures and medical complications. Surgical approach and treatment outcome wereanalyzed.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The patients ≥65 years old with osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures accounted for 72.6%,the percentage of cases with combined fractures and medical complications were 9.5% and 46.3% respectively. 84.5% patientsaccepted surgical treatment. Excellent rates were 85.6% of dynamic hip screw fixation, 90.9% of proximal femoral nailanti -rotation or ? Nail fixation, and 86.7% of total hip or artificial femoral head replacement. Intertrochanteric fractures are easy totake place in elderly patients with osteoporosis and intramedullary fixation is the best treatment for intertrochanteric fractures. Forosteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures patients, their age, types of fractures, and the severity of osteoporosis and medicalcomplications should be concerned when treatment.关键词
