Abstract
Objective To understand the quality of life (QOL)of colostomy patients with rectal cancer and to explore its influencing factors,to provide evidences for improving the QOL of permanent colostomy patients.Methods 145 colostomy patients with rectal cancer were surveyed with EORTC-QLQ-C30,and the data were collected for statistical analysis.Results The score of QOL of colostomy patients was 60.31±23.19 and the scores of role function and social function were significantly lower than those of the norm (P<0.01).Besides,the scores of diarrhea and economic difficulties were significantly higher than those of the norm (P<0.01).Correlation analysis showed mat the psychological condition and stoma complications were the main factors thai affected the QOL of colostomy patients and multiple siepwise regression analysis indicated the psychological condition,postoperative time,complication entered into the regression equation of QOL.The psychological condition and postoperative time were positively correlated with the QOL- while the stoma complication was negatively correlated with the QOL.Conclusion The role function and social function of colostomy patients arc significantly affected,and the diarrhea symptom and economic difficulties are severe.To improve the QOL of colostomy patients,specialized nurses for stoma should provide psychological support for patients and help to train patients withregular bowel movement so to ptrvent and treat stoma complications through varous ways.关键词
