摘要
Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effects of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for 5-year survival rates of the patients with gastric cancer by Meta-analysis. Methods Search all of clinical randomized trials on neoadjuvant chemotherapy for gastric cancer in MED-LINE,Cochrane Library, EMBASE, Ovid, CBM database and Google. A Meta-analysis was carried out by collecting information based on inclusion and exclusion criteria from all trails information available. Results The Meta-analysis included 8 trials. A total of 1 510 patients were included in the analysis,of which 718 patients were in the study group( neoadjuvant chemotherapy plus surgery group) and 792 in the control group(immediate surgery group). According to the Meta analysis to the information available, There was statistical significant diference in 5-year survival rates between the study group and the control group,and the odds ratio (OR) was 0. 67, with 95%CI 0. 53 to 0. 83,P = 0. 000 3. Conclusion Compared with immediate operation,neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by operation is in some distance related with increasing 5-year survival rates of patients with gastric cancer. Due to the limited sample and the potential publication bias,the final conclusion still needs further trials to be evidenced.关键词
