Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinicoradiologic characteristics of Marchiafava-Bignami disease (MBD) and to characterize the value of DWI,DTI and 1H-MRS in its diagnosis and prognosis. Methods: The clinical and neuroimaging findings of 10 MBD patients were prospectively analyzed. Diffusion-weighted imaging(DWI) were performed in all cases as well as diffusion-tensor imaging in four cases. Results: DWI showed markedly hyper-intensity with diffusion restriction in eight cases in acute phase with ADC values 0. 30 - 0. 59X 10~3 mm2/s in eight patients manifested as acute onset. The FA values in genus, spleni-um of corpus callosum compared to the control group had statistic difference,as well as in white matter of frontal lobe and centra semiovale. Conclusion: The DWI,DTI features of MBD may be associated with the clinical spectrum and prognosis.关键词
