摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of IL-8 gene polymorphism on levels of serum IL-8 in patients with chronic HBV and its role in the mechanism of the chronic HBV infection. Methods Polymorphisms of IL-8 gene were typed using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism( PCR-RFLP ) in 60 patients with chronic HBV and 60 healthy controls. The serum levels of IL-8 were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay( ELISA ). Results There was significant difference in frequencies of allele and genotype in IL-8 - 251A/T polymorphism between patients with chronic HBV infection and healthy controls( P < 0.05 ). The levels of serum IL-8 in HBV patients with genotypes AA and TA were significantly higher than those of HBV patients with genetype TT ( P <0.01 ), and the healthy controls with genetypes TT, AA,TA( P <0. 01 ). Conclusion The results suggest that the IL-8 gene polymorphism may play an important role in the mechanism of the chronic HBV infection.关键词
