Abstract
Objective To assess the results of surgical treatment of unstable fracture of the glenoid fossa. Methods 12 cases of unstable fractures of the glenoid fossa were treated with open reduction and internal fixation with screws and reconstructive plate. Results All the 12 patients were follow up for 6 to 25 months. Fractures united uneventfully within bone healing time ranged from 6 to 11 weeks. The average shoulder abduction was mean 135 ±5. 6 degrees, range 60 to 170 degrees in the last follow up. According to the Herscvici scoring system: 2 cases were excellent, 8 good and 2 fair. Conclusions Good clinical outcomes could be obtained with surgical treatment for unstable fracture of the glenoid fossa.关键词
