Effects of Bacillus Subtilis on Growth Performance, Antioxidant Capacity and Immunity of Intestinal Mucosa in Broilers

Abstract
This experiment was conducted to study the effect of Bacillus subtilis on growth performance, antioxidant capacity and immunity of intestinal mucosa in broilers. Six hundred one-day cocks were randomly assigned to four treatments with three replicates and fifty cocks with each pen. The groups received the same basal diet supplemented with 0, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 g/kg praeparatum of Bacillus subtilis, respectively. The feeding trial lasted 11 weeks. The results showed that compared to the control, the average daily gain in 0.75 g/kg group increased significantly by 6.86% (P<0.05); The contents of T-AOC, GSH-Px, VC and XOD in jejunal mucosa of test group were significantly higher (P<0.05) than that of control group, while the content of MDA was significantly decreased (P<0.05). The contents of IL-2, IL-4, IL-10 and TNF-α in appendix mucosa and ileal mucosa of test group were significantly increased (P<0.01). These results indicated that adding Bacillus subtilis in diet could improve antioxidant capacity and immunity of intestinal mucosa, which could improve broilers growth performance.关键词
