Abstract
Objective To explore the development and clinic effectiveness of the multifunctional clamp for the placement and removal of IUDs. Methods Four hundred patients underwent IUD removal were divided randomly into two groups, the study group ( 200 patients ) and the control group ( 200 patients ). Patients in the study group were treated with the multifunctional clamp, and patients in the control group were treated with the conventionally used hook to take out IUDs. The degrees of pain during operation, the duration of operation and the amount of bleeding were compared between the two groups. Another 240 patients received IUDs placement were divided randomly into two groups, the study group ( 120 patients ) and the control group ( 120 patients ). Patients in the study group were treated with the multifunctional clamp and patients in the control group were treated with the conventionally used fork to place IUDs. Duration of operation, primary successful rate of placement and B - ultrasound examination results after operation were compared between the two groups. Results In the patients underwent IUD removal, degrees of pain [ ( 2. 53 ±0. 34 ) vs ( 5. 99 ±0. 68 ) ] and amount of bleeding [ ( 1. 66 ±0. 26 ) ml vs ( 4. 23 ±0. 41 ) ml ] were superior in the study group compared to the control group ( P < 0. 05 ). Durations of operation were not significantly different between two groups [ ( 2. 95 ±0.55 ) min vs ( 3. 11 ± 0. 59 ) min, P>0. 05]. In the patients underwent placement of IUDs, significant differences were noted in duration of operation [ ( 2. 46 ± 0. 37 ) min vs ( 3. 06 ± 0. 68 ) min ], primary successful rate ( 100. 00% vs 86. 12% ), and B - ultrasound examination after operation ( 100. 00% vs 91. 67% ) between the two groups ( P <0. 05 ). Conclusion Compared with the conventionally used hook and fork, multifunctional clamp for the placement and removal of IUDs could decrease the amount of bleeding, alleviate the pain and improve the rate of accuracy. It is worth popularization.关键词
