Soil Animal Community Diversity in Shennongjia Natural Reserve

摘要

Abstract

There were 2 467 soil animals' specimens collected in soil layer of seven habitats in Shennongjia. They belonged to 21 species. The meadow had the most abundant composition and the grassland had the poorest. The dominant species were beetle mites and gamasid mite, and they accounted for 64.17% and 16.70% of the total animals respectively. Others were common or rare species. According to the analysis,the index was higher between the two habitats. Diversity index was higher in cedar forest,bamboo forest and virgin forest,which showed that they had better habitat environment than those of the other habitats.
