Abstract
High speed railway is in developing stage in China at present, the firsthand information of operation field is lacking. This paper summarizes and analyzes the passenger travel characteristics, including age structure, occupation distribution, income features, travel cost sources, purposes and choice intentions of travels, and distribution characteristics of passenger flows along the line, including time of collection and distribution of passengers arriving and waiting at the stations, peak hour factors and collection and distribution features, by means of the sampling survey on passengers in Wuhan-Guangzhou high speed railway stations. Based on the research results of relative projects, the peak hour factors obtained by survey in stations along the railway line are verified.关键词
