Synthesis and crystal structure of Ni( Ⅱ ) complex based on 5-methyl isophthalate

Abstract
Complexes of 5 -methyl isophthalate pyridinenickel( Ⅱ ) was synthesized from the reaction of 5 -methyl isophthalate with pyridine and nickel nitrate, and it is developed into a single crystal. The compound was characterized by elemental analysis and single crystal X-ray diffraction. It was assigned to monoclinic crystal system, space groupC2/c.cell data:α = l. 961 6(6)nm,b = l. 609 3(5)nm, c = 1.475 6(5)nm, 0 = 111. 836(4)°, Z = 8, V=4.324(2)nm3, Dc =1.457mg/m3,F(000) = 196 8,R1, =0.081 7 [I>2sigma(I) ], wR2 =0.185 4 (all data), GOF =3.015. The results show that the Ni atom exists in a six-coordinated environment in which one ligand 5-methyl isophthalate acid in the three O atoms and three pyridine N atoms. Ni2* by the bridging lig-ands to form one-dimensional wave-like chain.关键词
