摘要

Abstract

The breakthrough curves of methane in the mixed gas of methane and nitrogen with a volume ratio of 30:70 on the single activated carbon bed were measured, and a three-bed VPSA process was used to separate the mixed gas, by which the volume fraction of methane could be enriched to 60%-62% from 30%. The Aspen Adsim software was used to simulate the methane breakthrough of the single bed and the methane concentration by the three-bed VPSA process by using the finite difference scheme. The results showed that the simulated results were in good agreement with the experimental results, which provided basic design parameters for the setup of industrial plants for methane enrichment.
