“扬派叠石”设计理法探析
An analysis on design approach in "Yangzhou stone-piling rockery"

Abstract
This paper summarizes skills adopted in stone piles for ancient Chinese garden rockery and analyzes examples of rockery design of ancient gardens in Yangzhou. Guided by the main line of "borrowing classical rockery examples and respecting local features", the author illustrates the design of "Yangzhou stone-piling rockery" in the following aspects: respecting local features, choosing stones regarding to different characteristics, creating poetic atmosphere, echoing of the insubstantial and substantial scene, selecting the framework in accordance with specific scenery context, highlighting the distant scene, spotlighting the close scene and adapting to the environment and trees. On the basis of these principles, this paper tries to explain that "Yangzhou stone-piling rockery" combines general rules of stone-piling and local cultural features.关键词
