Abstract
Objective To explore the applications of method of Mckissock and inferior pedicle nipple-areolar flap with no vertical scar in reduction mammaplasty and anylize its surgical indications, surgical results,advantages and disadvantages. Methods From June 2010 to July 2011, We use breast reduction surgery of Mckissock, s Procedure and inferior pedicle nipple-areolar flap with no vertical scar in 15 cases. We conducted questionnaire survey of symptoms, appearance, scars, nipple sensitivity and overall satisfaction among postoperative patients. Results ①The shape of postoperative breast and nipple and areola is symmetrical.②lnferior pedicle nipple-areolar flap with no vertical scar has less complications than Mckissock, s Procedure.Meanwhile inferior pedicle nipple-areolar flap with no vertical scar formed hidden scars.③There is no significant difference of the probability of blood flow obstacle and sensory dysfunction of nipple and areola among postoperative patients. ④The amount of breast resection of Mckissock, s Procedure is over that inferior pedicle nipple-areolar flap with no vertical scar.Mckissock's Procedure has a good three-dimensional breast.⑤Inferior pedicle nipple-areolar flap with no vertical scar is superior in overall satisfaction to Mckissock's Procedure. Conclusion Two methods both are suitable for the treatment of moderate or severe breast hypertrophy .especially for severe breast hypertrophy,in conclusion.the scar of inferior pedicle nipple-areolar flap with no vertical scar is small and hidden while using Mckissock's Procedure can removal more breast tissue. Both methods have advantages and disadvantages, we need individual analysis of specific clinical applications of the two methods .关键词
