Clinical studies of CO2 laser in reducing pain in orthodontics
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of local CO2 laser irradiation on orthodontic pain for the patients with firstarch wires. Methods 60 patients wearing fixed appliance were included in this study, 34 patients accepted local CO2laser irradiation and 26 patients as a control group.Patients were then instructed to rate their levels of pain on a visualanalog scale over time. Results The level of orthodontic pain in local CO2 laser irradiation group were significantly lowerthan the control group. Conclusion Local CO2 laser irradiation will reduce pain associated with orthodontic forceapplication.关键词
