摘要

Abstract

Semi-rigid steel frame combined with eccentric braces is a new type of seismic structural system. In order to investigate its dynamic characteristics and influence factors,large scale tests and finite element modal analysis are conducted. The results show that, dynamic characteristics of eccentrically braced semi-rigid steel frames are different from traditional frames. With the decrease of rotation stiffness of beam-column connections, structural natural vibration period gradually extends, and the damping ratio increases. The relevant provisions of the existing codes do not apply to such structural system. The simplified calculation method of natural period and the reference value of damping ratio for eccentrically braced semi-rigid steel frames are provided according to the research results.
