Abstract
Objective To study the efficacy and safety of high - intensity focused ultrasound for the pain caused by advanced pancreatic -carcinoma. Methods Twenty - two patients with advanced pancreatic carcinoma were treated with high - intensity focused ultrasound. The pain remission rale , KPS, and side effects were evaluated after the treatment. Results Among the twenty -two patients, the overall effective rate of relief was 8 5%, the complete and partial remission rate was 10% (2/20) and 55% (11/22) respectively, the mild remission rate was 25% (5/20) , and the ineffective rate was 10% (2/20). No severe complications were developed. Conclusions High - intensity focused ultrasound is an effective, nonmvasive and safe approach to pain in advanced pancreatic carcinoma.关键词
