摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the value of Tei index and B - type natriuretic peptide( BNP) in the diagnosis and illness evaluation among elderly patients with congestive heart failure( CHF). Methods Eighty - three elderly inpatients with CHF were recruited as the study group, and 48 healthy elders were chosen as the control group Tei index , LVEF and other Dopplers parameters were detected by color Doppler ultrasound, and the serum BNP concentration in the patients was measured quickly by Triage BNP. Results (1 ) Tei index and serum BNP concentration in various CHF groups were much higher than those in the control group (P< 0. 01 ). The higher NYHA class, the higher Tei index and serum BNP concentration. Tei index in elderly patients with CHF was positively correlated with serum BNP concentration (r = 0. 47, P < 0. 01). (2 ) AUC between Tei index ( 0. 86 ± 0. 03 ) and serum BNP concentration(0.88 ±0.03) was not significantly different(p>0. 05 ) ; both were much greater than that of LVEF (0.75 ±0.05)(P< 0. 05 ). The cut - off value of Tei index was 0. 47 ( sensitivity 75. 90% , specificity 85. 42% ) , and that of serum BNP concentration was 425 ng/L (sensitivity 87. 95% , specificity 75% ). Sensitivity and specificity was significantly different between them(P <0. 05). Conclusions Tei index and BNP are useful markers for diagnosis and illness evaluation in elderly patients with CHF.关键词
