摘要

Abstract

An universal ant colony algorithm is proposed. In the new algorithm, the transition probabilities of the parameters and the calculation methods of pheromone are improved. The overall performance of the algorithm is increased. And the algorithm is used for optimizing the parameters of a freeway on-ramp controller. Firstly, a freeway traffic flow model is established. In conjunction with nonlinear feedback theory, on-ramp PI controller optimized by ant colony algorithm is designed, and the optimization steps of ant colony algorithm are given. Finally, the controller is simulated in Matlab software. Simulation results show that the ramp controller based on ant colony algorithm optimization has fast response speed, high computation efficiency, and good dynamic and steady-state performance. This method is very effective to control freeway ramp.
