摘要

Abstract

The basic structure and principle of static synchronous compensator(STATCOM)were introduced. A switching function mathematical model of this device based on physical characteristics and topology of the converter was constructed by introducing the concept of the single-pole two-valued logic switching function. Based on the instantaneous power theory, command current operation system and direct current control method of STATCOM system was presented. On the basis of mathematical model and direct current control method presented in this paper, simulation analysis for STATCOM's static and dynamic performance was carried in MATLAB. Simulation results show that the model is correct and the control method is effective. At the same time the excellent dynamic and static performance of VSC-based STATCOM is verified.
