摘要

Abstract

[Objective] The research aimed to study the effects of vegetative coverage on the soil moisture in dry-hot valley in Panzhihua at the end of dry season. [ Method] The moisture of soils covered by typical vegetation was determined by gravimetric method. [ Result] The order of soil moisture was woods > sparse trees > shrubs > grass > bare land. Moisture of soil increased slightly with the depth in the range of 10 - 40 cm. There were the mutation points at about 40 cm. At 50 cm, soil moisture covered by woods, sparse trees, shrubs, grass and bare land reached 9.50% ,6. 64% , 4. 89% , 3.95% and 1. 23%. [ Conclusion] Increasing appropriately in planting depth would enhance the survival of the trees. Grass-shrubs or grass-trees was a good model to recover vegetative coverage.
