Abstract
In this paper, an assessment index system of fifteen indexes has been set up from the aspects of land use intensity, land input intensity and land productivity. The degree of regional intensive land utilization was quantitatively evaluated by means of principal component a-nalysis and entropy method. The spatial pattern of the intensivism of regional land use in Jiangsu Province was analyzed deeply. Based on the intensivism of regional land use, Jiangsu Province can be divided into three kinds of regions, I. E. High-intensive, medium-intensive and low-intensive regions. The high-intensive regions are mainly located in the south of Jiangsu, medium-intensive regions in the middle and north of Jiangsu, low-intensive regions in the north of Jiangsu. The regional difference between the north and the south of Jiangsu is greater than that between the east and the west of Jiangsu. The Yangtze River becomes a dividing line of the regional differences of land use between the south and the north of Jiangsu.关键词
