摘要

Abstract

Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) is one of the most widely used hydrological models in the world. The development of SWAT model was described, the primary advances were summarized in application of SWAT model in the fields of hydrological analysis, nonpoint source pollution simulation, the impacts of environmental changes on hydrology, best management practices (BMPs) evaluation, crop yield estimation and the combined SWAT model with other models. Finally,the problems and insufficiencies which exist in the model were discussed,and the main recommended research needs for using SWAT well in China were also presented.
