The paper explores,in the perspective of linguistic historiography,the role of Petite Phontique Compáre Des Principales Langues Europennes,a translation by a Chinese linguist LIU Fu,in the development of phonetics and general linguistics in China,exemplified with the examples of phoneme,rhythm,linguistics and the most important,syntax from his translation.关键词
