Study on construction time of initial support in loess tunnel of large sections

Abstract
The rational design of supporting structure is the key to the design of large section loess tunnel , focusing on a loess railway tunnel in construction, this paper analyses the change situations of the loess tunnel supporting structure, rock stress state and mechanical behavior under the different construction times of initial support by numerical simulation. Centering on the controlling of the rock deformation, a reasonable proposal for construction time of initial support is given. And the force law of loess tunnel initial support is also summed up with the outcomes of field monitoring. Loess has a significant rheological property. A large part of the force acting on the supporting structure is caused by the additional load generated by rock rheology. In addition, the force of supporting structure is not evenly distributed and symmetrical in the space, which should be considered in the design.关键词
