摘要

Abstract

The composites possess many useful properties like high specific strength, good fatigue resistance, good shock absorption performance, and performance optimization through design which make them attractive to the automobile and aerospace industries. In this paper, bending strength and fatigue properties of adhesive bonded composite components applied to aerospace are investigated through changing stacking sequence and orientation, overlap length, types of adhesive joints and local reinforcement outside composite pipe. The results show that the bending properties of adhesive and fatigue properties of the components can be significantly improved by double-lap joint or single-lap joint with local reinforcement outside composite pipe, which satisfies design objective of the aerospace component.
