English Proverbs：Sources and Features and Ways of Translation
摘要
Abstract
It is an important channel to know the English people and their culture by means of either understanding or translating English proverbs mainly coming from the people,some classical literary works and foreign languages.With a long history,English proverbs are of unique national characters and great ideological contents.Ways of translating English proverbs mainly include： literal translation,free translation,literal ＋free translation and translation ＋ notes;however,a comparison of the similarities and differences between the styles and culture backgrounds of English and Chinese proverbs should be put into consideration.关键词
